Free Wedding Ceremonies Return to the Village on Valentine’s Day

Or just come visit this romantic spot with your special someone on Valentine’s Day!
Lovebirds looking for a unique and romantic way to tie the knot this Valentine’s Day are invited to the Old Mistick Village Meeting House, where Wedding Officiant Marie Tyler Wiley will once again be officiating free wedding ceremonies.
Wiley’s annual Valentine’s Day wedding event will take place on Friday, February 14th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. She will continue marrying couples until everyone present who wishes to be wed has had their ceremony. No early arrivals are permitted.
Couples wishing to participate must obtain their marriage license from the Stonington, CT Town Clerk’s office (860-535-5060). It is recommended to call ahead for information on obtaining a license. Licenses can be obtained the same day as the ceremony, or in advance.
Wiley, who has been officiating ceremonies at the village for more than 20 years, will perform them on a first-come, first-served basis. Couples are welcome to bring guests, and well-behaved, leashed dogs are also permitted. Music and quick decorations are welcome.
Upon arrival, couples will sign in with volunteer intake coordinator Joanne Holly, a Stonington resident. Participants must arrive already dressed for their wedding, as there are no changing facilities available.
Professional photographers, Jamie & Sarah Photos & Film, will be on-site to capture the special moments for a nominal fee.
Join us at the Old Mistick Village Meeting House on Valentine’s Day for a memorable and heartwarming wedding experience!
