Ice in the Village Returns February 11 & 12
The wildly popular ‘Ice in the Village’ event will be taking place once again at Olde Mistick Village from Saturday, February 11th & Sunday, February 12th . The village will transform into a winter wonderland with ice sculptures on display throughout, starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday and will also be extending its hours on Friday and Saturday until 8:00 p.m.
This year has special meaning as it marks Olde Mistick Village’s 50th anniversary!
“Families are looking for opportunities to get out and enjoy themselves,” said Chris Regan, property manager of Olde Mistick Village. “We are always looking to create a special experience for families
and couples of all ages to enjoy.”
This years ‘Ice in the Village’ theme will be ‘Hearts on Fire’ in support of Valentine’s Day.
Throughout Olde Mistick Village, take your best photos in support of Love and Family and enter them to
win prizes. There are prizes for best Valentine Costume, Cupid Dress-up, most Romantic couple, and
even best Valentine Pet photos too! Children, families, and couples can enter throughout the weekend by
sharing their photos using the hashtag #IceInTheVillage. Winners of the contests will be announced on
Monday, with prizes for the top two in each category.
A live ice carving demonstration begins Saturday morning at Noon in the gazebo. A beautiful
open-heart sculpture will be on display for taking special photos, as well as a custom ice sculpture
commemorating Olde Mistick Village’s 50th anniversary. Ice sculptures will be on display starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
As always, pets are always welcome at Olde Mistick Village, and we encourage guests to share photos of
their experience on social media with the hashtag #IceInTheVillage.
